With the noble / humble intention of giving back to society, Dr. Prema Krishnaswami Charitable Trust has been providing life time free Comprehensive Diabetic Care including Type I Diabetes (Children and Young adults)

The Initiative was Started about 50 years ago with a generous/broad outlook and blessings by Late Dr. C.V. Krishnaswami and Late Dr. Prema Krishnaswami. Currently managed and run by Dr. Ramesh Chandrasekaran.

Dr. C.V Krishnaswami headed the Diabetes department at Voluntary Health Services Hospital - Taramani for over half a century providing pioneering health services to thousands of patients ensuring highest quality of medical and personal / social care. in the fields of diabetes and associated specialities of general medicine. He has had numerous indigenous research publications largely in the field of diabetes striving to improve the quality of life.

Dr. Ramesh Chandrasekaran had taken over as the head of the diabetes department and one of the units of general medicine after Dr. CVK's retirement and also worked under him for many years. Dr. Ramesh Chandrasekaran had served as the head of the diabetes department from 2004 - 2018 continuing the same purpose as done by Dr. C.V Krishnaswami

We Provide today for about 100 Type I Diabetes free insulin and follow-up with comprehensive advice. This service is backed by the generous Donation of Philanthropists

There is also highly subsidised medical/Diabetes advise for people with a view of providing quality care to all sector of society.
